CapabilitiesThe instructors at LSA North, Inc. hold many, and varied, advanced ratings and endorsements. We are able to instruct in many different aircraft. If you need instruction in your own aircraft, or would like to rent one of ours, please call or email us to discuss your personal training needs. We specialize in the basics of Stick-n-Rudder Flight Training!
Scott D. Johnson (photo), CFI, AGI is a graduate of the Inver Hills Community College Professional Pilot program. Scott has been a pilot since 2001, taking his first flight lesson on 9-11-01. In addition to an Associates in Science degree ~ Professional Pilot, he has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and a Certificate in Human Resource Management from Cardinal Stritch University. He obtained his Private Pilot Certificate in 2002, Instrument Rating in 2004, and Commercial Pilot Certificate in 2005 at Wings inc. in Saint Paul Minnesota. In 2007 he earned his Advanced Ground Instructor certificate and then went on to became a Certificated Flight Instructor by training at Sunstate Aviation in Kissimmee Florida. In 2009 he completed advanced CFI training with American Flyers in Pompano Florida and renewed his Fight Instructor privileges. Scott Johnson, CFI, AGI was the founder of Stick-n-Rudder Flight Training, LLC in 2008. He has been invited to be a moderator for the FAA Wings program in the Minneapolis region conducting Pilot, Flight Instructor and Designated Examiner training on the Sport Pilot certificate, and other flight safety programs for all pilot ratings. He has also been invited to become a member of the Minneapolis regional FAASTeam (FAA Safety Team). As a community service volunteer, he is a Search & Rescue Mission Pilot for the United States Air Force Auxiliary, the Civil Air Patrol. He has organized, and combined with others, to fly over 100 CAP and ROTC cadet orientation flights, and another 100+ teenagers on Discovery Flights with LSA North, Inc. ~~ Stick-n-Rudder Flight Training, LLC. He continues his volunteer service today in aerospace education working with young, and seasoned, adults in mentorship programs in several communities. Scott D. YBR! is a human resources and insurance consulting firm working with individuals and business owners on their health, life, dental and disability income insurance and retirement savings programs. 2008 marked his 20th year providing financial services to his valued clients. In 2009 he was awarded Top 7 'Best in Customer Service - Insurance' by Mpls-Saint Paul Magazine. Scott has over 1,100 flight hours, 500+ of which are in the Flight Design CTsw, and over 1,200 landings in the CT.
