Capabilities

The instructors at LSA North, Inc. hold many, and varied, advanced ratings and endorsements.  We are able to instruct in many different aircraft.  If you need instruction in your own aircraft, or would like to rent one of ours, please call or email us to discuss your personal training needs.

Scott D. Johnson (photo), CFI, AGI is a graduate of the Inver Hills Community College Professional Pilot program.  Scott has been a pilot since 2001, taking his first flight lesson on 9-11.  In addition to an Associates in Science degree ~ Professional Pilot, he has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and a Certificate in Human Resource Management from Cardinal Stritch University.

He obtained his Private Pilot Certificate in 2002, Instrument Rating in 2004, and Commercial Pilot Certificate in 2005 at Wings inc. in Saint Paul Minnesota.  In 2007 he earned his Advanced Ground Instructor certificate and then went on to became a Certificated Flight Instructor at Sunstate Aviation in Florida.

As a community service volunteer, he is a Search & Rescue Mission Pilot for the United States Air Force Auxiliary, the Civil Air Patrol.  He has organized, and combined with others, flown over 100 CAP and ROTC cadet orientation flights, and another 100+ teenagers on Discovery Flights with LSA North, Inc.  He continues his volunteer service today in aerospace education working with teenagers in mentorship programs in several communities.

Scott D. Johnson, CHRM is the founder of Your Benefit Resource!™ LLC.  YBR! is a human resources and insurance consulting firm working with individuals and business owners on their health, life, dental and disability income insurance and retirement savings programs.  2008 marks his 20th year providing financial services to his valued clients.
