He has over 20 years of flight training experience and holds many advanced ratings and degrees. He is currently employed by the Minnesota Department of Aeronautics as a Regional Airport Engineer. Dan is a thinker, and very meticulous with his students and flight training. He works to ensure that his students are safe pilots, and that they understand the theory as well as the regulations of flight. *** Dan Boerner and CFI candidate Mike Anderson flew a Flight Design CTsw from AirLake (KLVN) Minnesota to the Light Sport Aircraft exposition in Sebring (KSEF) Florida starting January 23rd, 2009. They left MN on a chilly below zero morning and arrived in Florida the next afternoon to warm and sunny 75 ° temperatures. Following two days at the exposition, they reversed their journey and returned safely home, arriving well after dark and once again in below zero temperatures. Along the way they experienced many different weather systems, worked with each other and with ATC for guidance, and positively tested their skills and proved the cross country capabilities of the FDCT.
